Turn a sermon or devotional into an illustrated video people share.
A sermon is already a story with pictures in it: the shepherd, the storm, the empty tomb. Most channels lose those pictures the moment they reach for a stock library. Doodaro draws them instead, one scene at a time, in a style that fits the text, with a narrator whose pace lets the words land.
The workflow is the same for a Sunday recap and a weekday verse. Paste the text, build the scenes, keep the ones that carry the message, set a longer hold on the verse, and export. When a line needs changing, you change that scene.

A message drawn line by line asks people to slow down and follow, which is what a devotional is for.
How it works
- 1
Paste the message
Paste a sermon transcript, a devotional or a verse with a short reflection. Press Build scenes and Doodaro splits it into scenes with narration and a picture description for each.
- 2
Pick a look and a narrator
Choose a style such as Parchment Ink, Gentle Story Comics or Midnight Chalk, and a narrator with the right warmth and pace. Preview the voice reading your verse before you choose.
- 3
Adjust, then export
Slow the reveal on the verse, hold the drawing while it sinks in, redraw any scene that feels off, then render and download the MP4 in 9:16 for shorts or 16:9 for the full message.
Control, one scene at a time
One scene at a time
If the drawing for the parable does not match what you preached, change its picture description and redraw that scene. The rest of the message stays.
Your own voice on the verse
Upload your own recording for the scenes where the pastor should be heard, and let a library narrator carry the reflection. Or use one voice throughout.
Hold time for reflection
Set how long the finished picture stays on screen after the pen stops. Give the closing verse a longer hold than the transitions.
Before and after
- A stock clip-art dove and a stock clip-art cross on every video, the same as every other channel.
- A 40-minute sermon sits in the archive because turning it into video looks like a week of editing.
- One misquoted verse means re-recording and re-editing the whole video.
- Daily shorts need a daily video, and stock tools make every one look alike.
- Describe the picture in plain words, such as a shepherd carrying one sheep up a rocky hill, and Doodaro draws it in the style of the message.
- Paste the transcript, press Build scenes, keep the best scenes for a 3-minute recap, delete the rest, and render.
- Open the scene with the verse, correct the narration, regenerate that scene's audio and render again.
- Save your channel's look as a template, pick a 9:16 format, and each day's verse becomes a short with the same style and narrator.
Common questions
Why do faith and devotional channels use drawn video?
A drawing that appears slowly suits a reflective message better than fast stock footage. It puts the attention on the verse and the picture instead of a presenter. And a channel that draws every message has a look people recognize when they scroll past it.
Do I need any drawing or video skills?
No. You paste the message and describe each picture in a sentence. Doodaro draws it in the style you picked and reads the words in the narrator you picked. You review the scenes like a storyboard and fix any that miss.
How fast can I turn a sermon into a video?
A sermon recap or a daily devotional can go from text to a first draft in one sitting. The longest part is choosing which scenes to keep and reading the storyboard through once. We do not promise a number of minutes for rendering.
Can I make different videos for shorts, recaps and full messages?
Yes. A 45-second devotional in 9:16 with Midnight Chalk, a 3-minute sermon recap in 16:9 with Parchment Ink, and a square verse card for a post can all come from the same account. Each video has its own style, format and narrator.
What if I want to change a verse or a line later?
Open the storyboard, find that scene, edit the narration or the picture description, and regenerate the scene. Then render the video again. Nothing else in the message changes.
