About Doodaro
What is Doodaro and how does it work?
Doodaro is an AI doodle and whiteboard video maker. You write or paste a script, pick one of 37 hand-drawn illustration styles and a narrator, and Doodaro builds a storyboard: one scene per idea, each with its own picture and narration. The engine then draws the artwork on screen stroke by stroke with timing you control, and you export a full video.
Is Doodaro different from other whiteboard animation tools?
Timeline tools give you a clip-art library and one drawing hand. Prompt-to-video tools give you a whole video you can only edit by prompting again. Doodaro generates original artwork for your script in the style you choose, animates the real pen strokes, and lets you redraw or revoice a single scene on the storyboard without touching the rest.
Can Doodaro turn a PDF or a link into a video?
Yes. In the Story screen you can upload a PDF, Word, RTF, text, Markdown or HTML file, up to 8 MB and 100 pages, or paste a link to a public page or an online document. Doodaro pulls out the text, shows the slides it found in the headings, and you edit that text before it becomes scenes. Scanned PDFs without selectable text and pages behind a sign-in cannot be read.
Can I use my own images and brand style?
Yes. Upload your own illustrations and Doodaro will trace and animate them. You can also save your own template with reference images and style instructions so every new video matches your look.
Which voices and languages are available?
The voice library has hundreds of narrators you can filter by language, accent and gender, each with a playable sample. Voices cover English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic and more. You can also upload your own recording for any scene.
What if one scene comes out wrong?
Open that scene on the storyboard, change the picture description or the narration, and redraw or revoice just that scene. The other scenes and their timing stay exactly as they were.
How does pricing work?
Every account starts with 2 free welcome minutes. Paid plans are monthly and include a video-minute allowance, all 37 styles in color, every export format, your own templates and the image generator. Minutes are counted on rendered exports, not on drafts. You can create a free account without a card, or buy a plan straight away. Plans are billed monthly in USD, and checkout runs through Polar.
Who owns the videos I make?
You do. Videos, images and templates you create in Doodaro are yours to publish, sell and reuse under your plan terms.
What formats can I export?
Landscape 16:9 for YouTube and web, portrait 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, and square 1:1 for feeds. Exports are MP4 on every plan, with no watermark.
Is there an API or MCP server?
Yes, in beta. The Doodaro API at app.doodaro.com/api/v1 creates projects, generates scenes and renders videos, and the Doodaro MCP endpoint gives Claude Code, Codex and Cursor the same actions as tools. Every account creates its own API keys in the dashboard, minutes are not metered during the beta, and connectors for ChatGPT and Claude chat are not available yet.
