What each tool feels like

Golpo is a prompt box. You type a description, upload a document or paste a script, pick an engine (Sketch for line art, Canvas for illustrated scenes) and wait five to fifteen minutes. A finished video comes back. If a frame is wrong you describe the change in text on the higher plans, or you regenerate the whole thing and pay the full length again. That is fine when the first draft is good enough, and Golpo’s guides are honest that the output is “a first draft” you should fact-check.

Doodaro is a storyboard. You paste a script (or ask the story assistant for one), click Build scenes, and you get one card per scene: the picture, the narration, the voice and the timing. You look at every scene before anything renders. If scene 7 has the wrong picture, click Redraw on scene 7. If the narrator stumbles on a brand name in scene 3, fix the text and click Revoice on scene 3. The other scenes do not move. Then the engine draws each picture stroke by stroke, following the real line work of the artwork, and you export an MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1.

The pricing shapes the experience too. On Golpo, color, vertical and your own narration are each a plan upgrade: vertical at $99.99, color at $199.99, own voice at $499.99. On Doodaro every plan has all 37 styles in color and all three formats, and the $39 Starter already includes your own templates, narrator voices and the image generator. Minutes count on rendered exports, not drafts, so previewing and fixing scenes is free.

Where Golpo is ahead: 45+ narration languages, a finished video written straight from a document, SDKs for its API, seats for teams, voice cloning, a picture-in-picture presenter and a frame-by-frame prompt editor. If you are buying for an L&D department that publishes in twelve languages and wants to trigger videos from Confluence, Golpo built that and Doodaro has not.

How to move from Golpo to Doodaro

  1. Open a Golpo video you have already made and copy its script or the narration text. If you only have the prompt, paste that into Doodaro’s story assistant and ask for a script.
  2. In Doodaro, paste the script into Story and click Build scenes. Pick one of the 37 styles, or save your own template from two or three reference images if you were using Golpo’s Custom Style.
  3. In the storyboard, pick a narrator and click Listen on each card. Redraw or Revoice only the scenes that need it. Upload your own recording for any scene if you had recorded narration.
  4. Set reveal and hold time in the editor, render a preview of one scene, then render the full video in the format you need. Your first 2 minutes are free, so test with a short piece before you pick a plan.
