Daily devotional script

Use this template for a short vertical devotional you can post every day; each section becomes one scene in the storyboard, so you can slow the reveal on the verse and hold it longer than the rest. It produces about 45 to 60 seconds of narration in 9:16, which is one scene per section and five scenes in total.

Template

# [Verse reference and one-line theme, e.g. Psalm 23 for a hard week]

## Opening line (0–5 seconds)
[One sentence that names the feeling or situation the viewer is in today. No greeting.]
What we draw: [One simple object or figure that stands for that feeling.]

## The verse (5–20 seconds)
[Quote the verse in full, one translation, then the reference.]
What we draw: [One image taken directly from the verse: a lamp, a door, a shepherd, a storm.]

## Reflection (20–45 seconds)
[Two or three short sentences. Say one thing the verse changes about today. Speak to one person.]
What we draw: [The same figure from the opening, changed by the verse: standing up, turning, walking.]

## Prayer (45–55 seconds)
[Three short lines addressed to God, ending with Amen.]
What we draw: [Something quiet and still: folded hands, a candle, a path.]

## Close (55–60 seconds)
[One line inviting the viewer back tomorrow or to read the chapter.]
What we draw: [The verse reference written on the board.]

# Psalm 23 for a hard week

## Opening line (0–5 seconds)
Some weeks you are not walking. You are being carried.
What we draw: A small figure sitting on a rock at the bottom of a steep valley, head down.

## The verse (5–20 seconds)
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters." Psalm 23, verses 1 and 2.
What we draw: A shepherd's staff appears next to the figure, then a stream drawn from left to right across the bottom of the board.

## Reflection (20–45 seconds)
Notice that the sheep does nothing in these two verses. It does not find the pasture. It does not dig the well. It is led. If this week has asked more of you than you have, you are allowed to stop pushing and let yourself be led. Rest is not falling behind. It is part of the path.
What we draw: The figure stands and walks beside the shepherd toward an open field at the top of the valley.

## Prayer (45–55 seconds)
Lord, I am tired. Lead me today. I will not run ahead. I will follow one step at a time. Amen.
What we draw: Two sets of footprints on a dirt path, one set larger than the other.

## Close (55–60 seconds)
Tomorrow we read verse three, the valley. Come back.
What we draw: The words "Psalm 23" written in the lower corner of the board.
